Breakdown of Fees

According to the timetable released by the party, presidential aspirants go pay:

  • N20 million for Expression of Interest Form
  • N40 million for Nomination Form

Governorship aspirants go pay:

  • N10 million for Expression of Interest
  • N20 million for Nomination Form

For Senate aspirants:

  • N3 million for Expression of Interest
  • N5 million for Nomination Form

House of Representatives aspirants:

  • N2 million for Expression of Interest
  • N4 million for Nomination Form

State House of Assembly aspirants:

  • N1 million for Expression of Interest
  • N1.5 million for Nomination Form

Sale of Forms Begin May 13

The timetable was contained in statement jointly signed by NDC National Chairman, Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe, and National Secretary, Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu.

According to the statement, sale of Expression of Interest Forms go start on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and close on Monday, May 18, 2026.

The party say screening and interview for aspirants go hold from May 19 to May 21 before aspirants fit qualify to buy Nomination Forms.

Nomination Forms go then sell between May 21 and May 23, while completed forms must return on or before May 25.


Presidential Primary Hold May 29

NDC also announce say primary elections for different offices go hold on May 27 and 28, while presidential primary election go happen on May 29, 2026, for Abuja.

The party explain say governorship primaries go hold at local government level.

According to the statement, aspirants for State Houses of Assembly go undergo screening for their respective states, while National Assembly and presidential aspirants go be screened at party headquarters for Abuja.


Women, PWDs Get Discounts

The party also announce special concessions for women and Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs).

Female aspirants go pay only 50 percent of approved fees, while PWDs go enjoy 75 percent waiver across all categories.

NDC say the move na part of efforts to encourage inclusiveness and participation in politics.


Party Promises Transparent Primaries

The party reassure members and aspirants say the primary process go transparent, democratic and credible.

NDC also disclose say dem go adopt “open secret ballot” system during primaries to improve fairness and transparency.

According to the party, the approved nomination fees still remain among the lowest compared to other major political parties in Nigeria.

The statement add say the reforms and guidelines are aimed at producing competent candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
