Di development come as di party extend by one week di deadline for collection of Expression of Interest Forms for governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly positions.
National Secretary of di party, Mr. Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, confirm say di earlier deadline wey suppose end by 6pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026, don now move to 12 midnight on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
According to di statement, di extension no include presidential aspirants as collection of Expression of Interest Forms for di Office of di President don officially close.
NDC explain say screening for aspirants wey don buy and complete dia forms go begin from Tuesday, May 19, and end on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Di party also announce say collection and return of Nomination Forms for aspirants wey pass screening go start from May 20 and close on May 26.
NDC warn say no further extension go happen after di new deadline and urge all aspirants to obey di party guidelines and timetable.
Di party direct aspirants to appear for screening and pre-qualification interviews wit important documents including educational certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, passport photographs, voter’s card, NDC membership card and curriculum vitae.
According to di statement, aspirants must submit six copies of all required documents to di Screening Committee.
