The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) don announce new mandatory requirements wey go follow any Business Name Online Update from today onward.
For statement wey dem drop for their X page on Wednesday, CAC say anybody wey wan update business name online must now add more personal and contact details to help dem confirm identity well and keep business records correct.
According to the commission, every Business Name Online Update must now include:
Date of birth
Registered office email
Proprietor’s email address
Phone number for the registered office or proprietor
Valid means of identification
CAC explain say these new rules be part of their ongoing reforms to stop fraud, improve documentation and make communication with business owners easier.
Dem talk say the new requirements go help streamline their database, support compliance checks and make service delivery faster and more secure for entrepreneurs across the country.
The commission come warn business owners to follow the new guidelines well to avoid delay for processing their requests.
