Abuja – President of Dangote Group, Dr. Aliko Dangote, don issue 7-day ultimatum to Kaduna businessman, Engr. Kailani Mohammed

, to retract false statements wey he make against Dangote and his business, or else face N100 billion lawsuit.

Dangote, through him lawyer, Dr. Ogwu James Onoja SAN of Onoja Law Firm, don serve letter wey demand immediate public explanation, full retraction, and unreserved apology for accusation wey Mohammed make say Dangote dey engage in unclean business for Port Harcourt back in 1980s.
Letter wey date December 20, 2025, talk say Mohammed tarnish Dangote reputation and attack his integrity, including question the source of him wealth as Africa richest man. The accusation reportedly appear during interview on TrustTV News on December 17, 2025, in reaction to Mohammed petition against Dr. Farouk Ahmed submitted to ICPC.
Dr. Onoja, in the letter titled “Demand for public explanation, retraction and unreserved public apology on your libelous publication against Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON”, warn Mohammed say:
“Your statements wey you make on TrustTV wey claim say our client dey engage in unclean business for Port Harcourt na false, reckless, and malicious. E dey expose our client to public ridicule and lower him reputation globally. You get 7 days to publicly explain, retract, apologize, and stop any further false publication, or else our client go pursue civil and criminal defamation action against you.”
Dangote letter also demand N100 billion in damages for loss of reputation, public ridicule, and defamation since the statements dey public. The letter make clear say Dangote never engage in any business activity in Port Harcourt, contrary to what Mohammed claim.
Lawyer warn say failure to comply within 7 days go force Dangote take legal action without further notice, and the businessman fit also face criminal investigation for defamation.
