Orerokpe, Delta State – Delta State High Court don issue ex-parte injunction wey stop Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and Delta State Police Commissioner from enforcing the tinted glass permit policy across Nigeria.
The court order also stop police from harassing, arresting, detaining, or extorting motorists and citizens over the policy.
Justice Joe Egwu, wey dey hear the case, also stop the police and their agents from using Parkway Projects Account—wey na private contractor account—to run any government business, till the substantive case don finish.
The order follow ex-parte application wey Mr. Israel Joe file (suit HOR/FHR/M.3/2025). The plaintiff dey represented by Mr. Kunle Edun, SAN

, and other lawyers.
Before the order, NPF announce say dem go start enforcing tinted glass permit from January 2, 2026, but the court don halt the plan.
Justice Egwu talk say:
Police and their officers no fit enforce tinted glass permit policy till the case don finish.
Police no fit harass, arrest, detain, or extort citizens or motorists under the policy.
Police no fit use Parkway Projects Account for government business pending case conclusion.
The court also approve substituted service to ensure police dey properly served at Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Asaba.
This injunction dey protect citizens’ rights and ensure government policy no dey enforced illegally.
