As Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, still dey delay him waka go All Progressives Congress (APC), some party leaders don talk say the move no go scatter the party at all.
Former APC Vice Chairman for Bayelsa West, Samuel Aredeh, yarn on Monday say all the talk from former Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, no make sense. Nabena don earlier talk say too much defection fit break APC, but Aredeh reply say the party dey grow, no be break.
According to am, “APC no dey break, na expansion dey happen. Na only person wey bitterness don blind go see progress and call am problem. Politicians wey dey join APC so, no be fear dey push dem — na because dem see result as Tinubu government dey deliver.”
He add say President Bola Tinubu don bring better leadership and direction wey don make APC focus on governance and development.
Another APC leader, Kenelayefa Stevens, still support the talk, say Diri entry go make the party strong wella for Bayelsa before 2027 election.
“Governor Diri defection na better move wey go help us gather more power for the state,” Stevens talk.
He come add say people wey dey fear Diri entry na those wey no wan lose political control.
“Politics na game of numbers. Governor Diri don show say he be leader wey dey unite people and go work with everybody for progress,” he conclude.
