Ahead of Ekiti 2026 governorship election, members of Ekiti State Executive Council don donate N100 million to support Governor Biodun Oyebanji second term ambition, while the governor also begin local government campaign tour across the state.

The cabinet members say the donation na sign of loyalty, appreciation and support for Oyebanji leadership and performance since e enter office.

Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, alongside the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Jide Awe, present the money on behalf of other council members during one meeting for Government House, Ado-Ekiti.

According to dem, members of the cabinet happy to work with the governor and remain committed to making sure say him return for second term.

Dem say Oyebanji leadership style and developmental projects across the state don encourage many of dem to stand firmly behind am ahead of the election.

Reacting, Governor Oyebanji thank the executive members for the support and describe the gesture as strong show of love, unity and confidence in him administration.

“I deeply appreciate una support and this huge donation. E clearly show say we dey work together for the progress of Ekiti State,” the governor talk.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to the Governor and Secretary of the Campaign Council, Niyi Adebayo, confirm say the campaign council don receive the N100 million donation officially.

Coordinator of the Welfare Committee for the cabinet, Prof. Akeem Azeez, also praise members for contributing generously to make the donation successful.

At the same time, Oyebanji don begin him campaign tour across local government areas as part of preparations for the 2026 governorship election.

During one of the campaign stops for Ikole Local Government Area, the governor warn supporters against violence before, during and after the election.

He urge party loyalists to use their votes peacefully instead of causing trouble, stressing say democracy must remain violence-free.

Ekiti APC Chairman, Sola Eleshin, say the massive support behind Oyebanji na because of the governor achievements across different sectors within three and half years in office.

According to am, the governor performance don convince many residents say he deserve another term.

He also call on residents of Ikole to come out massively and support the APC candidate during the election.
