Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) don announce say dem don revoke 1,095 land and property titles for Abuja because the owners never pay ground rent, C of O bills, and other land fees.

According to the FCTA notice, enforcement action don start since November 25, 2025, after 14-day grace period finish. Out of the total, 835 plots na for people wey never pay ground rent, while 260 plots na for those wey default for violation fee or land-use conversion fee.

Plenty big Nigerians land dey involved, including former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose, Patrick Obahiagbon, former Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Donald Duke, Patience Jonathan, David Mark, and Uche Secondus. Organizations like Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Borno and Oyo state governments, federal ministries, and some hotels also dey the list.

Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, talk say some people like Fayose don sell their plots years back, and new owners never regularise ownership. “Minister no dey partisan or sentimental when him dey do him work,” Olayinka yarn.

Patrick Obahiagbon confirm say the revoked land no be him own again because he sell am more than 13 years ago, even though power of attorney never ratify the transaction.

This revocation follow another big enforcement in May 2025, when FCTA take over 4,794 properties in central Abuja, including some owned by PDP, CBN, and INEC. All revoked property ownership don automatically return to FCTA, wey fit take full possession anytime.

FCTA warn all property holders to settle unpaid charges quick before dem lose their property.
