Big relief don land for Nigerian retirees as Federal Government, through di Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), release ₦3.9 billion pension arrears to 91,146 old workers wey dey under di Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).
Di payment na part of di ₦32,000 pension increase wey President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approve for thousands of retirees across di country.
PTAD share di money across different pension departments — Parastatals, Civil Service, Police and Customs, Immigration & Prisons.

PTAD Boss: “Na Renewed Hope Agenda We Dey Follow”
PTAD Corporate Communications head, Olugbenga Ajayi, talk say Executive Secretary, Tolulope Odunaiya, confirm say di payment show Federal Government serious about better welfare for pensioners.
Odunaiya talk:
“This payment na clear sign say Tinubu administration dey serious about retirees’ welfare under Renewed Hope Agenda. We dey committed to make sure pension dey paid well and on time.”
She add say retirees deserve dignity and financial security, and PTAD dey work to make sure no qualified pensioner go miss him money.
More Payments Still Dey Come
Odunaiya still assure retirees say PTAD go continue to monitor payment process so everybody wey get arrears go receive am without delay.
“This payment na big step forward,” she talk. “But we still dey work to make pension system stable so retirees fit get steady support anywhere dem dey for Nigeria.”
