BENIN CITY – Popular APC chieftain and former Edo State Commissioner for Information, Chief Charles Idahosa, don die for age 72, TheStreetNewspaper report.
Source close to the family talk say Idahosa wey people know as Akakasiaka and Charlie Tempo still dey strong and active earlier this morning before the sudden incident happen.
“Daddy dey full of life this morning. As usual, e come downstairs dey receive people. We no even know wetin really happen; e shock everybody,” family source talk.
Late Charles Idahosa na one of the most vocal politicians for Edo State politics. E serve as Commissioner for Information during the administration of former Governor Lucky Igbinedion, and later become Political Adviser to Adams Oshiomhole throughout the eight years wey Oshiomhole rule Edo State.
When political wahala burst between Oshiomhole and his successor, Godwin Obaseki, Idahosa support Obaseki openly. E even write one book titled “The Fall of the Last Godfather”, where e yarn about the political fight.

In 2020, Idahosa follow Obaseki comot from APC go Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). But after Obaseki win second term, wahala still come out between dem, and Idahosa no hide am as e be among the first politicians wey publicly complain.
Later, Idahosa return back to APC and play active role for party affairs. Na him be one of the first politicians wey release campaign jingles for current Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, during the election period.
Death of Charles Idahosa don throw Edo political circle into mourning, as many describe am as fearless, outspoken and deeply involved in shaping modern Edo politics.
