Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf dey plan to defect to All Progressives Congress (APC).

The meeting happen on Monday for Kwankwaso house for Miller Road, Kano. Sources talk say the Speaker reach the place around 3pm and remain inside closed-door meeting with the former governor for about four hours.

Because of the development, Kwankwaso reportedly cancel him planned trip abroad, as he also call federal lawmakers wey win election under NNPP platform to come emergency meeting.

Among the lawmakers wey show face for the meeting include representatives from Fagge, Turauni, Nassarawa and Rogo federal constituencies, among others.

Though details of wetin dem discuss no clear, party insiders believe say Kwankwaso dey try all political strategies to stop the collapse of him political structure and withdraw support from Governor Yusuf if e finally move go APC.

Speaker Falgore visit come less than 24 hours after report say he lead political stakeholders from Rogo constituency to publicly endorse Governor Yusuf plan to defect to APC.

The endorsement group, wey report say Director-General of Protocol, Government House, Hon. Abdullahi Sani Rogo, lead, urge Kwankwaso to support the governor move, say na for the overall interest of Kano State.

Reacting sharply, Chairman of NNPP for Kano State, Hon. Hashim Dungurawa, distance the party from any plan by Governor Yusuf to defect to APC.

Dungurawa reaffirm loyalty to Kwankwaso, wey be founder of Kwankwasiyya Movement, and describe the planned defection as serious betrayal of party trust. He insist say Kwankwaso no dey plan to leave NNPP.

He warn Governor Yusuf to respect party discipline and stop any political alignment with APC. He also caution party leaders and NNPP members make dem no sign any document for Government House concerning defection.

Dungurawa say NNPP for Kano and national level no support the move and appeal to those involved, for the sake of Allah and the Prophet, to remain inside the party and continue the struggle to improve education, agriculture, commerce and welfare of the people.

However, NNPP Deputy State Chairman for Kano Central, Abdullahi Zubair Imam Abiya, reject Dungurawa position and direct party members to distance themselves from the statement.

Abiya instead urge Kwankwaso and Governor Yusuf to join APC together, say na the best option to strengthen Kwankwasiyya Movement political influence for Kano State.

He say make Kwankwaso listen to the voice of him supporters, adding say unity inside APC go help the movement achieve more political success.

Meanwhile, the rumoured defection of Governor Yusuf don split NNPP members, as lawmakers, cabinet members and key stakeholders dey sharply divided over the issue.

One federal lawmaker wey beg make dem no mention him name confirm say the party don already break into factions because of the development.
