Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of di Federation, Abubakar Chika Malami, don accuse Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) say dem no allow am perfect him bail, even though dem dey claim say na him no meet di conditions.

According to di statement, EFCC dey use di bail conditions as excuse to continue hold Malami for detention, while dey tell Nigerians say na him refuse bail.

“From di beginning, Malami ready to meet di bail conditions, but EFCC no give am di chance to perfect am,” di statement talk. “Dem dey deliberately use di conditions to prolong him detention.”

Di aide also deny allegation say Malami try dodge investigation, stressing say di former attorney general na law-abiding citizen wey never attempt to evade any probe.

He call on EFCC make dem come up with realistic and attainable bail conditions, and stop using media to create impression say Malami refuse bail.
