E say di money wey government dey owe cover allowance and arrears wey don pile up for years — some reach 10 years, some two years, and some months. “Doctors never see salary review for over 16 years,” Suleiman talk.
According to am, di total money wey FG dey owe health workers reach between ₦35 billion and ₦38 billion, while doctors own alone fit reach ₦600m to ₦800m.
NARD talk say government no gree pay di 25–35% CONMESS arrears and other allowances, even after plenty promise. Because of dat, dem don agree say strike go start midnight November 1.
Dem also demand:
Make FG pay all outstanding allowance and salary arrears.
Reinstate di five doctors wey dem sack for Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja.
Make FG allow hospital heads employ new doctors replace any wey resign.
Make dem improve hospital equipment and environment.
Stop casualisation of doctors and include house officers inside civil service scheme.
Begin pay specialist allowance and implement special pension for medical people.
Suleiman beg President Bola Tinubu make e enter di matter:
“Mr. President, dem dey pay themselves but we wey dey field no dey see our money. Abeg, help us as father of di nation solve dis matter.”
He talk say until government show real commitment, all resident doctors for Nigeria go down tools completely.
