President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, don express strong confidence say Nigeria go defeat banditry and other security challenges from 2026 and beyond, as e call on Nigerians make dem work together for peace, unity and national development.
Akpabio talk this one during prayer and fasting service wey dem organise in honour of the Akpabio family at Methodist Church Nigeria, Cathedral of Unity, for Ukana Ikot Ntuen, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
According to am, meaningful development no fit happen where peace no dey, urging Nigerians make dem drop differences and embrace unity within families, communities and the country at large.
“I wan wish all Nigerians prosperous and peaceful new year. I wan assure Nigerians say the new year go bring renewed peace for our country,” Akpabio talk.
Christmas Message of Hope
Reflecting on the Christmas celebration, the Senate President connect the birth of Jesus Christ with hope for Nigeria, saying the season symbolise redemption and victory over national challenges.
“By the reason of the birth of Jesus Christ, Nigerians go get redemption from banditry and insurgency for the new year and beyond,” he add.
Call for Support for Tinubu Administration
Akpabio urge Nigerians, no matter their political party, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration as e dey work to tackle insecurity across the country.
He express confidence say improved cooperation with international partners go further strengthen Nigeria fight against banditry and insurgency.
He also stress say family unity na the foundation for peace and progress, adding say harmony for the home dey contribute to stability for the society.
Family Members Urged to Live in Unity
Speaking at the event, wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, advise members of the Akpabio family make dem support one another, drop personal differences and live in love and harmony.
Also, head of the Greater Akpabio Family, Chief Ekan Akpabio, call on family members to continue supporting Senator Akpabio as an ambassador of the family, Essien Udim LGA and Akwa Ibom State.
He further urge family members wey dey hold public office make dem no forget their roots and always consider the welfare of their relatives.
