Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, don present cheque to 47 families of Edo workers wey don die, and still give one member from each family school scholarship.
The event happen for Government House, Benin City, and e mark big progress for the Group Life Insurance Scheme wey Edo State dey run with Tangerine Life Insurance.
As the governor dey talk, he explain say the programme no be only about insurance payment, but about doing good for families wey don lose their loved ones.
According to am:
“No be only insurance matter. Na about goodness. The important thing na say una get una entitlement because una don pass through pain. Today, we still dey support una with scholarship for one person from each family. Na our way to make sure una no waka last.”
Okpebholo salute Tangerine Life Insurance for their partnership, talk say Edo State don turn one of the leading states for pension and insurance reform.
Tangerine Life MD/CEO, Mr. Kehinde Borisade, praise the governor well-well, talk say Edo State don become model for Nigeria.
He talk say:
“In implementing Pension and Insurance Acts, Edo State dey among the leading states—if no be the leading state. Governor show rare leadership by caring for workers and even families of those wey don die. No be plenty states dey do this.”
Borisade reveal say Tangerine Life don pay over ₦200 million to 47 families this year alone, with the support from Governor Okpebholo.
