South-West PDP don deny support for Makinde and reject Fayose condemnation claims, as party faction say reports wey talk say dem endorse Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde na false and misleading.

For statement wey Zonal Publicity Secretary, Akinloye Oyeniyi release on Monday, the party talk say dem no hold any press conference to support Makinde or condemn former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.

According to Oyeniyi, the alleged endorsement and condemnation na handiwork of impostors wey no get any connection with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

PDP crisis still deepen

The development come as PDP internal crisis continue to divide the party into different factions.

One group wey Tanimu Turaki lead get backing from Makinde and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, while another faction under Abdulrahman Mohammed dey supported by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Fayose.

Both sides don carry matter go court as dem dey struggle for control of the party structure.

Ibadan press conference “na lie”

Oyeniyi insist say no recognised PDP South-West official hold any press conference for Ibadan.

He explain say Zonal Chairman, Deji Doherty, dey Abuja for National Executive Committee meeting when the alleged event happen.

“The claim of any Ibadan press conference na pure lie. Those wey gather no represent PDP for any level,” the statement talk.

Impostors dey cause confusion

The party accuse those behind the report of trying to destabilise PDP, adding say dem no get mandate and no recognised by any organ of the party.

Oyeniyi also question the structure of the group, saying dem no even get complete leadership as required.

Loyalty remain with Wike faction

South-West PDP reaffirm say dem loyalty still dey with Abdulrahman-led National Working Committee and allies like Nyesom Wike.

The party also warn impostors to stop misleading the public and follow proper channels if dem wan rejoin the party.

Call for caution

The zone advise Nigerians, party members and media to ignore the false reports, stressing say only official communication from recognised PDP leadership should be trusted.

The crisis within PDP continue to generate tension across regions, especially in the South-West where key political figures like Makinde and Fayose still dey clash over party direction.
