US Congress man, Riley M. Moore, don hold one serious meeting with Nigeria National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and other top government officials for Washington, D.C., to discuss wetin he call the increasing attack and persecution wey Christians dey face and the danger of terrorism for Nigeria.
Moore yarn say the meeting “frank, honest and productive,” as dem talk about better cooperation for counterterrorism, security support and how to protect people wey dey suffer from attacks across the country.
The Nigerian delegation carry big names like Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu; Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN); Chief of Defence Staff, General Oluyede; and Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lt. Gen. Undiendeye.
Moore talk say he make am clear say the U.S. wan see real action wey go stop killings and displacement of Christians.
He add say America ready to work together with Nigeria to fight Boko Haram, ISWAP and Fulani militants wey dey attack communities for North-East and Middle Belt.
He still call on Nigerian government to grab the chance to strengthen relationship with America as President Trump and U.S. Congress dey serious about ending religious violence for Nigeria.
Even though Nigerian officials talk about the security wahala wey dem dey face, dem never release official statement about the meeting as at the time of report.
Moore also blast President Tinubu for saying Nigeria no dey encourage religious persecution, insisting say ground reality dey different.
He still condemn the kidnap of schoolgirls for Kebbi State and call for prayers for the victims and the vice principal wey die.
The meeting happen some hours before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Africa public hearing wey go examine why Nigeria don enter the list of “Country of Particular Concern” again. Senior U.S. officials and Nigerian religious leaders go testify for the hearing.
