The program, wey dey under Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, go allow residents bring recyclable waste like plastic bottles, cans, and cartons come collection centers — and dem go collect money for am.
Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announce am for him X handle on Monday. He talk say Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) Recycling Team don already start work for Lagos Island to show people how dem fit make small change from their waste.
“Did you know say your trash fit turn to cash?” Wahab talk. “We go dey reward residents every Thursday for helping us keep Lagos clean and green. Na double win — money for you, and better environment for our city!”
