
National Chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, don vow to appeal court ruling wey stop Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising party congresses and, as e be, he insist say ADC go still appear for ballot in 2027 elections. Meanwhile, the development don raise fresh concern about the party readiness.
The ruling from Federal High Court halt recognition of congresses wey committees under Mark-led leadership organise, thereby creating uncertainty for ADC internal structure. However, Mark no show any sign of backing down.
Speaking on Wednesday night for Abuja after briefing from party legal team, he reassure members say no need to panic.
“You no get anything to fear about all these court cases. We go win them and we go dey ballot for every election,” Mark talk.
Furthermore, he confirm say ADC don already begin appeal process and file for stay of execution to challenge the ruling.
In addition, he emphasise say the party ready to follow legal process to overcome the situation.
“We ready for all these cases and we go do everything within the law to overcome them,” he add.
On the other hand, the development come as ADC dey intensify preparation for 2027 elections despite ongoing legal battles.
Moreover, Mark promise to personally lead the fight, even though he no be lawyer, expressing confidence say the party go succeed in court.
