Prince Kassim Afegbua, former Edo State Commissioner for Information, don warn ex-President Goodluck Jonathan make e no gree anybody push am contest for 2027 presidential election.
For one interview with journalist Temidayo Akinsuyi, Afegbua talk say Jonathan don already gain respect as true democrat since 2015 when e accept defeat peacefully and hand over without wahala. According to am, na dat move make the whole world dey invite Jonathan for election monitoring, lectures and awards.
“But if Jonathan allow dem drag am enter 2027 race, e go spoil all the goodwill wey e don build. Na selfish people dey push am. Nigeria don pass that Jonathan era,” Afegbua talk.
He remind Nigerians say Jonathan government no perform well before, na why people vote am out. He accuse say under Jonathan, different people dey act like president – from Madam Patience Jonathan to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Diezani Alison-Madueke and Stella Oduah.
Afegbua praise President Bola Tinubu reforms, talk say the man dey consolidate economy with bold policies. “Kindness no dey rule nation. Na courage, firmness and policies dey matter,” he add.
Him advice clear: “Jonathan should run away from all those political scavengers. PDP dey divided, LP dey crisis, ADC no get ground. Which structure Jonathan wan use? He no get chance.”
On national matter, Afegbua blast activist Omoyele Sowore for call President Tinubu “criminal” online. He call the talk “reckless and irresponsible.”
“You fit no like the president, but respect the office. Only court fit call person criminal, not Sowore. Activism get limit, no be to dey abuse office of president,” Afegbua yan.
For Edo politics, Afegbua assure Edo people say the Assets Verification Committee wey Governor Monday Okpebholo set up go soon release findings about Obaseki administration.
“Obaseki no get hiding place. Edo people don see bad roads, failed schools, questionable projects. Our panel go expose the rot and justice go prevail,” he talk.
