APC stakeholders wey dey Enugu State don raise strong warning say dem no go gree if some leaders inside the party still dey try block Gov Peter Mbah plan to join the ruling party.
The stakeholders from the six LGAs for Enugu East Senatorial Zone yan dis one after dem hold important meeting for weekend.
Dem point hand go Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, accuse am say na im dey work against Mbah move. Dem tell am make e focus on him minister work instead of spoiling wetin dem call “golden chance” for APC inside Enugu.
Some big names wey attend the meeting na former APC state chairman Dr. Ben Nwoye; retired Nigerian ambassador to Ukraine Gen. Christian Ugwu; Prof. Hilary Edoga, former VC of Michael Okpara University; Chief Gab Nnamani; Chief Anike Nwoga; Hon. Hyacinth Ngwu; and Mrs. Juliet Egbo.
Dr. Nwoye talk say if Mbah join APC, e go change the bad luck wey APC dey always carry for Enugu, because the governor performance for road, school, health and security don already win plenty respect—even President Tinubu don hail am.
“Our plan na to rewrite APC history for Enugu. Everybody dey talk say Mbah suppose come because e don perform. Anybody wey wan block am no want APC progress, but we no go allow that,” Nwoye talk.
Chief Anike Nwoga add say if dem continue to block Mbah, stakeholders go waka go Aso Rock to beg President make e remove Minister Nnaji.
“APC never win any big seat for Enugu. If Peter Mbah come, e go change everything. But some people no wan APC win 2027, na why dem dey block am,” Nwoga para.
Prof. Edoga yan say if APC reject Mbah, e go be like self-marginalization, point example from Delta and Akwa Ibom wey governors dey lead the party structure.
Gen. Ugwu support the move, say competence dey more important pass selfish ambition.
“We get better man inside Mbah. I stand with those wey dey call am to join us. Grounds don already dey set for am,” Ugwu talk.
Mrs. Juliet Egbo add say if Mbah enter APC, Enugu go enjoy bigger federal attention like Ebonyi and Imo.
The meeting finally end with all of dem begging APC national leaders make dem allow Mbah cross over. Dem warn say if anybody still block am, mass protest from Enugu East APC go land Abuja.
