Pastor Tunde Bakare, wey be the Serving Overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, don explain say people misquote wetin him talk about the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the 2006 ADC plane crash.

Bakare talk this one for one news conference for Lagos on Sunday. Him say the ADC plane crash wey him mention no be mockery, na just metaphor to make political point.

He remind people say on October 4, when some ADC members invite am to join their party, him reply, “I no go join ADC. The last time I hear about ADC na when plane crash. I wish them well, because we need better opposition.”

Bakare come vex say some people twist him talk. “People wey dey say I mock the victims no understand say na figure of speech I use. Dem too don use Titanic story before to warn people,” him yarn.

He even talk say some politicians don use the matter to do politics. “Even Senate President Godswill Akpabio use the same ‘crash’ talk for Senate when him dey talk to ADC Minority Leader, Abba Moro,” Bakare add.

Bakare still talk say make the whole wahala serve as lesson. “Make every leader wey hold power understand say power no dey last forever. Make dem learn from history,” him talk.

The pastor also clear say Citadel School of Government no get any link with political party. “The school no get partisan link at all,” he talk.

Bakare end by reminding people say him get right to join any political party under Section 40 of the Nigerian Constitution. “I dey work to see a new Nigeria wey go work for everybody, peaceful and prosperous,” him conclude.
