INEC Present Certificates of Return to Winners of June 20 Bye-Elections
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) don officially present Certificates of Return to candidates wey win the bye-elections wey happen for June 20, 2026 across Rivers, Enugu, Nasarawa, Ondo and Kano states.
The certificates na Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, Supervising National Commissioner for Rivers State, present on behalf of INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan (SAN), during the official ceremony.
While she dey congratulate the winners, Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu urge dem make dem remain committed to the people wey vote for dem and carry out their duties with diligence and integrity.
According to her, the most important responsibility for any elected representative na to serve the interests of the people and ensure say their voices dey heard for government.
She also reveal say INEC go soon present Certificates of Return to winners of the Zuru State Constituency election for Kebbi State as well as the winner of the Ekiti State Governorship election.
The electoral commission reaffirm say e remain committed to conducting credible elections and ensuring smooth democratic processes across the country.
Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu encourage the newly elected officials to justify the confidence wey their constituents place on dem by delivering quality representation and promoting development for their communities.
The presentation of the Certificates of Return officially confirms the winners as the duly elected representatives for their respective constituencies and offices.
