NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs, Seledi Thompson-Wakama sign, Iyaye talk say di commission get strong resolve to finish all ongoing projects across di Niger Delta and officially open dem for di benefit of di people.
Iyaye express satisfaction with di level of work for di Okochiri reclamation project, noting say di project go help di community gain more land for economic activities.
He say, “We come Okochiri to monitor and assess di contractor work. We need check di progress well make di project finish on time.”
He explain say di reclamation project very important to di Okochiri people because e don increase land space and help boost di Okochiri International Beach Festival and Carnival, wey according to am, dey promote peace among di people.
Earlier, during courtesy visit to di Amayanabo of Okochiri, King Ateke Tom, for him palace, Iyaye talk say NDDC get great respect for traditional institutions. He tell di monarch say him visit na to inspect ongoing projects and ensure say dem complete am as scheduled.
“For us to succeed, we need everybody cooperation — traditional rulers, state governments and di youths,” Iyaye talk.

While inspecting di Nonwa–Uedeme–Ogu Road, Iyaye assure say NDDC under di leadership of di Managing Director, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, dey fully committed to implementing President Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda.
He add say as intervention agency, NDDC go continue to leave positive impact for communities within di mandate states, working closely with state governments. Di road project contractor, Hon. Deinma Iyalla, confirm say NDDC don transform di area by connecting communities with good roads and assure say di first phase go finish by end of January.
Di NDDC Executive Director also inspect ongoing work for di 1,500-seater Ogu Civic Centre and di Ogu Community Pavilion for Ogu-Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
