
Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Professor Ngozi Odu, don officially leave Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join All Progressives Congress (APC).
Odu defection come over one month after Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and majority of state and federal lawmakers from di state also dump PDP for APC.
She complete her APC registration on Sunday for Akabuka, Ward 8, Unit 11, inside Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. After di registration, she move round di six zones of di LGA to sensitise people on di ongoing APC e-registration exercise.

Speaking to party stakeholders shortly after her registration, Odu explain say APC e-registration dey go on after Governor Fubara announce few weeks ago say he don join di party.
She urge residents make dem show support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Fubara by registering in large numbers for APC.
According to am, di move go help strengthen di support base of President Tinubu and Governor Fubara. She add say six zonal meetings don already hold to support di plan.
“Today, I come out to sensitise di people, and everywhere we go, large crowds welcome us. Dem tell me say anywhere wey I go, dem go follow me; and anywhere Governor Fubara and President Tinubu go, dem go follow,” Odu talk.
She say di excitement and happiness show clearly as she tour all di six zones — Egi, Omoku, Osomini, Igburu, Egbema and Ndoni.
Odu describe her defection as big boost to APC strength for di local government area, saying e show say grassroots support for President Tinubu and Governor Fubara leadership dey increase.
Di statement also reveal say one major highlight of di tour be di defection of hundreds of Labour Party members for Ndoni, wey also join APC and express happiness to be part of di ruling party.
