Federal High Court for Abuja don convict the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, for three of the seven terrorism charges wey Federal Government carry go court.

Justice James Omotosho deliver the judgment on Thursday. According to am, government show better evidence, including video interviews and broadcast wey Kanu use threaten Nigeria, encourage violence and attack on citizens.

The court find am guilty for counts one and two — say him make broadcast wey ginger violence, killings and enforce sit-at-home for South-East. Justice Omotosho talk say these threats na “acts of terrorism” under Nigerian law.

The judge also convict Kanu for counts four and five for allegedly inciting violence during the #EndSARS protest wey lead to killing of security personnel and burning of government property for Lagos.

Justice Omotosho reject Kanu claim say him no get fair hearing. He talk say everything follow due process and the IPOB leader sabi wetin he dey do.

The judge quote one of Kanu broadcast wey talk:
“There will be a complete shutdown of Biafraland… if you open your shop, we go burn you inside the shop.”

He call the order illegal and unconstitutional, say e cause fear, empty roads and serious wahala for South-East.

The court also mention another broadcast where Kanu tok say Nigeria Army go die and “everything wey be Nigeria go perish for Biafra.”

Justice Omotosho note say the punishment for the offences fit reach death sentence, but court never pronounce the final sentencing.
