National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) don officially announce say di 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Orientation Course go begin nationwide on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, for all di 37 NYSC orientation camps across di country.

Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wish all prospective corps members safe journey as dem dey travel go dia various states of deployment. He also strongly advise dem make dem avoid night travel to reduce risk on di road.
NYSC management further urge all corps members make dem strictly follow di orientation schedule to ensure say di programme run smoothly and successfully across di camps.
Di NYSC scheme, wey start for 1973 to promote national unity and integration after di Nigerian Civil War, make di three-week orientation camp di first and compulsory phase of national service.
During di orientation period, corps members go participate for paramilitary drills, Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training, lectures on national issues, and cultural activities, all aimed at building unity, teamwork and better understanding across ethnic and religious lines.
