The crisis inside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don reach new level as one faction of the National Executive Committee (NEC) on Tuesday announce say dem don expel some big names for the party.
Those wey dem sack include Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed, Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal, former BoT Chairman Adolphus Wabara, Bode George, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki and many other top PDP leaders.
NEC Scatter State Excos for Seven States
The same NEC meeting dissolve PDP State Executive Councils for Oyo, Bauchi, Zamfara, Yobe, Lagos, Edo and Ekiti, claim say the structures no dey follow constitution.
The decisions come after the faction hold their 103rd NEC meeting for Abuja.
‘Dem Disobey Court Order’ – PDP Acting Chairman
Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman, talk say the expelled members commit serious anti-party behaviour and even ignore court orders.
The National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, read the communique wey talk say some members go organise illegal convention, cause confusion and push governors and lawmakers to begin defect.

Adolphus Wabara, Bode George, Ben Obi, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Bala Mohammed, Seyi Makinde, Dauda Lawal, Taofiq Arapaja, Setonji Koshoedo, Okechukwu Obiechina Daniel, Woyengikuro Daniel, Mohammed Kadade Suleiman, Emmanuel Ogidi, Sumaila Adamu Burga, Umar Sani, Udom Emmanuel and Emmanuel Enorden.
Dem also order Chief Ali Odefa to return all salaries and allowances wey him collect after dem expel am for 2024.
New Caretaker Committees, Fresh Congresses Start Soon
NEC don ratify Chidiebere Egwu Goodluck as Acting National Vice Chairman (South East).
Dem order deputies for all vacant NWC positions to take over in acting capacity.
Caretaker committees go take charge for dissolved state excos, and fresh congresses go begin immediately.
Dem also plan nationwide membership audit and revalidation ahead of 2027 elections.
PDP Leaders Beg for Calm
Earlier, BoT Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa and Acting National Chairman Abdulrahman beg members to stand strong and believe say PDP go survive the storm.
