Tinubu talk this one through the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, when dem transfer the Akure Complex of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) give the Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital (FUTATH).

The hospital wey dem hand over go now belong to Federal Government, while the other two wey remain for Ondo City go still dey under UNIMED.

Tinubu talk say the move na part of im plan to expand health care reach and improve hospital service across Nigeria in partnership with state government.

“I thank the governor and him team for the support. President Tinubu dey serious about changing Nigeria health sector, and e go do am with focus and courage,” Prof. Pate talk.

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, wey send him deputy, Olayide Adelami, talk say dem hand over the hospital make federal government fit bring more money, better equipment, and top medical training come the state.

He talk say, “This hospital go become one world-class centre for medical work, research and saving lives. The kind opportunity wey go come from here go benefit both students and patients.”

Prof. Olusegun Ojo, the Chief Medical Director of FUTATH, talk say the hospital go focus on better diagnosis and specialist care to help people no travel far for treatment again.

He talk say this move go help reduce the stress and money wey people dey spend to find care abroad.

Prof. Pate still thank Afenifere leader Pa Reuben Fasoranti and the Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo, for the role wey dem play to make the hospital dream come true.
