For di new appointment wey start immediately, Major-General W. Shaibu go now be Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke don become Chief of Air Staff, while Rear Admiral I. Abbas don take over as Chief of Naval Staff.
Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye, still remain for him position.

According to di statement, di reshuffle na part of Tinubu government plan to make Nigeria security system stronger and more effective.
Tinubu thank di former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and other service chiefs for their “patriotic service and dedicated leadership.”
