Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar don declare say e dey ready to step aside for 2027 presidential election if younger, vibrant and acceptable candidate show face under opposition coalition.
Atiku yarn dis one for interview with BBC Hausa Service on Wednesday. According to am, e no dey desperate to rule Nigeria but na to rescue di country from people wey don hold am down.
“My being in di 2027 race no stop anybody from contesting. If vibrant and widely accepted younger candidate show, I dey ready step aside,” Atiku talk.
Di former VP also challenge young Nigerians make dem no dey sit down for back. “Una must enter politics well well, if una bring candidate wey Nigerians accept, I go stand gidigba behind am.”
Atiku insist say him fight na about providing credible alternative and giving Nigeria new direction, not personal ambition.
