EFCC Don Support Student Loan and Consumer Credit Program with ₦100 Billion

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) don talk say dem don carry ₦100 billion from the ₦566 billion wey dem recover in the last two years, put am for Student Loan and Consumer Credit Scheme wey President Bola Tinubu promise Nigerians.

EFCC Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, yarn dis one for Abuja as he present the two-year report of EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede.

According to am, the money go help boost social investment programs wey go support students, small business people, and youth wey dey hustle for credit and education.

Uwujaren also talk say some government agencies don benefit from EFCC recovery work, like Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), as dem don collect recovered properties use as office.

He add say the EFCC no stop for only recover money — dem also fight naira abuse, illegal forex trading, and crypto wahala, wey help make the naira stable and reduce currency wahala.

Between October 2023 and September 2025, EFCC don recover ₦566.9 billion, $411 million, and secure 7,503 convictions from 10,525 court cases.

He also mention say 55 EFCC officers don lose job because of bad behavior as Chairman Olukoyede no dey joke with discipline and integrity.

For property matter, EFCC don seize more than 1,500 houses and lands, including 753 duplexes for Lokogoma, Abuja, and Nok University wey don turn Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia.

Uwujaren assure Nigerians say EFCC go continue dey fight corruption and make sure justice go round well well.
