IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu don finally agree to start him defence for court after activist Omoyele Sowore and some protesters march for Abuja on top him detention matter.
Kanu wey don dey inside DSS custody since, tell the Federal High Court for Abuja say he ready to begin defence for October 24, 2025, as court don order.
Inside new motion wey he personally sign, Kanu talk say he go call 23 witnesses – some go be “ordinary but important witnesses,” while the rest go be “vital and compellable” people wey he fit summon under Evidence Act Section 232.
Among the people wey Kanu list include big names like Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd), Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Imo Governor Hope Uzodinma, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and former Abia Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Others wey he mention na former Attorney General Abubakar Malami (SAN), former NIA DG Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, and current DSS DG Yusuf Magaji Bichi.
Kanu say he go testify for himself and deny all the charges wey dem slam am, while he go explain the political side of wetin he talk and do before dem arrest am. He still ask court make dem give am 90 days to finish him defence.
Meanwhile, same day Kanu file him motion, police arrest him lawyer Aloy Ejimakor and 12 other protesters wey dey demand make government free Kanu.
Dem carry all of dem go court for offences like criminal conspiracy, disobedience of lawful order, incitement, and public disturbance. The judge don order make dem go Kuje prison till October 24 when dem go return for arraignment.
