Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don confirm say dem go still hold their national convention for Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16, 2025, even as some courts don give different judgements about am.
For statement wey PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, release for Abuja on Wednesday, he talk say di convention never shift and e still dey hold as dem plan am.
Ologunagba, wey also be Secretary for di Publicity and Communication Sub-Committee of di National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC), talk say some people wey dey spread news say convention don cancel na “political agents” wey APC send make dem scatter PDP arrangement.
He talk say, “Di PDP National Convention go still happen on November 15 and 16 for Ibadan. Make our members no mind di fake news wey some people dey share up and down.”
Earlier, one PDP faction wey Abdulrahman Mohammed lead don talk say di convention no go hold again because of two court orders wey stop am.
One of di court orders come from Federal High Court for Abuja wey former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, take PDP go court. Di court tell INEC make dem no monitor or recognise di convention. Another court ruling on October 31 from Justice James Omotosho still talk make PDP no hold di event.
But Oyo State High Court wey sit for Ibadan on November 4 talk say PDP fit go ahead with di convention.
Di party don talk say all preparations still dey on ground and dem ready to host delegates from across di country this weekend.
