Supporters wey dey loyal to the Nyesom Wike camp don take over the area around Wadata Plaza, the PDP national head office for Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, on Tuesday morning.
Most of the protesters na women and youth groups, and dem carry placards wey get messages like “No to Turaki” and “Turaki Must Go.”
Dem dey protest the emergence of Tanimu Turaki, SAN, as PDP National Chairman after the weekend convention wey Wike people boycott.
The Wike faction tok say the convention no follow due process and dem no recognise Turaki as chairman.
On Tuesday morning, the Wike-backed group, led by the sacked Acting National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, reach the Secretariat around 9:45am with heavy security escort. Policemen full everywhere as dem mount strategic positions for the streets around the building.
Up till when we dey file this report, nobody from the Turaki-led camp don show face for the Secretariat. The Wike camp still dey control the whole place.
